Although no stone inscriptions indicate the date, the Temple’s construction history has been passed down through the generations. This Temple was used for numerous movie shoots. Shamshabad Ammapalli Temple History

This Temple was constructed during Vengi Chalukyas’ reign in the 11th century. This magnificent construction covered 250 acres. The Seven Storeyed Building Gali Gopuram measures 90 feet in height.

The Temple is located on the East and South sides. This Temple is dedicated to Lord Rama, Mata Sita, and Lakshmana.

It is also a monolithic idol. Lord Rama and Lakshmana are said to have met in this Temple. Hanuma met him in this area long before he arrived at Garbhagriha. Lord Rama Idol stands at 4 feet tall. 

Shamshabad is 6 km away from this Temple. Muslim rulers constructed this Temple’s outer structure.

Sri Sita Ramakalyanam might be done on Sri Rama Navami day. Separate Mantaps were constructed for Edurukolu & Kalyanam. In 2010, UNESCO designated this Temple as a heritage site.

The Ammapalli Temple is where you can feel like another world. Despite the Kakatiya-rooted temple’s proximity to the bustling city, it makes you feel far from the everyday hustle and bustle. Shamshabad airport is 15 km away. 

Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy Devasthanam, Ammapally (Narkhoda), could be 800 years old. Track for bastions and ramparts. The Kakatiya effect, With its intricate filigree work and Rajasthani pinch, the Gali gopuram is sure to take your breath away. 

The large stepwell was dried as It was used as a stage for performing dances and indiscriminate hierarchies that sprung up nearby. Despite being excellent, there are still ways to improve.

This piece of wonder is decorated with Rajasthani jharokhas wearing Rajasthani clothing. Kakatiyan characters depicting a lion or a leopard are found on the wall surrounding the Temple and a peacock. 

The Temple also has Kakatiyan and Persian art. If you didn’t see the gopuram from afar, it would look more like an Islamic mosque with only the gopuram.

The ramparts and bastions are apparent. The Temple’s individualism is evident elsewhere. Although the Temple is a Ram temple, there are no Hanuman idols.

Sanctorum Another beauty is the gopuram within the Temple. It has multiple stories, including the Ksheerasagara Matana, Gajendra Moksham, Vatapatra Sai, Venkateswara Kalyanam, etc.

Some facts about Ammapalli Temple

1.This town is called Ammapalli because Sita Maa, the prominent deity of this Temple, lives there. It is a temple that dates back to around 1000 years ago.

2.It is the historical period of Chalukya. 70 ft Gali Gopuram. This 7-storied structure is stuccoed with limestone and baked bricks. It is the motivation for Nizam Charminar, constructed in the 15th century.

3.This arch is rare for a single boulder for three idols with Makara Thoranam. This arch contains ten different incarnations of Lord Vishnu.

4.This type of stone carving dates back to the 11th century. Only two Indian idols have this type of stone carving, in Ammapalli temple & Ryali-Jaganmohana temple.

5.The arch Lord Vishnu’s idol dominates the temple entrance. It is not common to see north Indian architecture in South Indian temples.

6.Extraordinary salvation power for the shrine. Why is Lord Hanuman’s statue opposite the central Temple that houses Lord Rama? was the place where Lord Rama, Mata Sita, and Lakshmana arrived. Hanuman is not there with them. They met Hanuman after they left for Panchavati.

7. Lord Rama is here named Kodanda Rama because he is holding the bow before Hanuman meets Rama, who is named Kodanda Rama.

From October to August, The Temple has located 12 km from Shamshabad and 31 km from Hyderabad City. Direct bus service is available from Secunderabad or Hyderabad.
