Abhishekam Timing And Online Booking

Every day, the priests perform the Abhishekam in the Samayapuram Mariamman Temple. Every day, the Abhishekam time begins at 11:00 AM.

Devotees may purchase the Abhishekam ticket the same day at the counter until 7:00 AM. The devotees must send the DD/MO favouring “The Executive officer, Arulmigu Mariamman Temple” if they wish to book the Abhishekam.

Festivals Celebrated at Samayapuram Mariamman Temple

The Thai Poosam festival takes full splendor in the Temple For 11 days. Morning and evening, the deity of Goddess Mariamman is taken in procession in different Vahanams (vehicles). Thai Poosam is the tenth day. The God is taken in a parade in a glass from Samayapuram near Srirangam.

The Festival takes place Over four weeks. Goddess Mariamman goes on a hunger strike for 28 days starting on the last Sunday in Maasi to ensure the well-being of all living beings. 

During this period, no solid food offerings were made to the Goddess. Chithirai Ther (chariot festival) occurs during the Chithirai–Panguni month. The Festival sees the Goddess ride a wooden chariot and then go for a ride on The Theppam (float).

 For 15 days, the Panchaprakaram celebrations are held in the Chithirai-Vaikasi months. Maha Abishekam is celebrated on the first and tenth days. 

Navaratri festival takes place in the month of Purattasi from Mahalaya Ammavasai to the ninth day. The Navaratri Mandapam is for Golu.
