Before the Krishna Raja Sagara dam project was initiated by Sir M.Visvesvaraya in 1909, the complex of temples was established in the town of Kannambadi. In 1909, the KRS Dam project believed that Kannambadi and other encompassing villages would become drowned. In the era of King Krishna Raja Wadiyar IV, Mysore, Krishna Raja Wadiyar IV commissioned the creation of a village replacement for residents of Kannambadi and, with the authority of his court, named the village Hosa Kannambadi (New Kannambadi). However, the Venugopala Swamy temple was complicated, along with several temples, including the Kenshwara (Ishwara) temple and Kalamma (an indigenous deity) temples had to be closed. The central portion of the dam had been finished, and each of the three temples had been submerged.

For the past seventy years, the temple was underwater, after which it was discovered that the Khoday Foundation below the steering of the liquor baron and host the presenter, Mr. Hari Khoday. Hari Khoday took up the responsibility of moving and renovating the temple. The spiritual leader, Shri Venugopalaswamy, Lord Krishna, who repeatedly plays his music as cowboys, is housed in the sacred temple’s sanctum. The sanctum sanctorum is an enclosed chamber. Venugopala originally constructed the temple in a lower place that was a Honne tree (the “Kino” trees). However, that particular feature isn’t a possibility to duplicate.

The Agarbhagriha (sanctum for the sacred) and a vestibule adorn the temple. It also had an upper hall, an upper hall, and the Mukhya mandapa (main room). The room that was located to the left of the entryway was decorated with a picture in the shape of Kesava (Lord Krishna), as well as in the cell that was towards the south, featuring the image of Gopalakrishna as well as the Gopalakrishna representation, was part of an expansion later on.
