Vishnu Maya (Kuttichathan) was born in union with Lord Siva and a girl from the tribe known as Koolivaka. When Sivanandana was denied the right to access the home that was Siva, Sivanandana assumed the form of Vishnu. Thus Sivanandana was known as ‘Vishnumaya’.
